Monday 4th March was the day twenty members arrived at Littlecote House in Berkshire, one of The Warner Hotels for a four day stay. We were requested to meet in the bar at 6pm for our first meeting, not a problem we were all there!.
The group joined in many of the activities during the day including quizzes ( we held our own but no wins) New Kurling, again no wins but it was fun .
Other activities included, Short Mat Bowls, walking in the grounds, some went to
visit Winchester by coach while others played bridge in the afternoons. Jean and Crawford who were playing members of the club until they moved to Tetbury several years ago and who are now social members came to visit us on the Wednesday.
In the evening there was mainly sequence dancing, but as none of us knew how to do it, it was hard to join in. The entertainment was songs, some from the shows and others taking in light opera etc.

A really nice end to our visit when on Thursday evening prior to dinner Pat invited us all to drink Champagne with her and Bill to celebrate her birthday the next day.
