We walked from London Bridge Station along the embankment to Rotherhithe on Thursday 5th December. The weather was kind to us and the company was even better. We walked as far as the Mayflower Public House before turning around to make our way back for lunch at another pub overlooking the Thames. Lunch over most of us walked back to London Bridge Station before catching our trains home.
On a damp and cold Nov 28th 17 of us visited the Biggin Hill Museum. Opened earlier this year this small but fascinating venue was a treat. The volunteers were knowledgeable and we had a couple of interesting talks. After a visit to the Chapel we headed off for a very good pub lunch at nearby Keston.
Our second visit to the British Legion at Limpsfield for a day of Skittles was on Wednesday 13th November. Because it was such fun last year we thought we would try it again and it did not disappoint. Several rounds were played throughout the day with the winners being Ineke and another.
The walk arranged for Friday 1st November was called off on the morning of the walk due to the bad weather. A great pity to miss out on the beautiful autumn colours for which Sheffield Park is famous.
